Pastor Jem Trehern
Testimony and Ministry
January 2026
Welcome to Flame of Revival 2026 – Happy New Year everyone, from me as your host and Special welcome to our guest speaker Jem Trehern.
I have known Jem for many years he pastored Dodd Road church in Brentwood, in fact I remember our founder Roland Tann telling me he shared his story there. We got involved together in various outreaches over many years, I look forward hearing story and journey later.
We had some amazing evenings in 2025 with different many testimonies, truly there has never been one meeting the same as we pray and worship – worship-lookinglooking for Holy Spirit to take over each month.
Before we worship I want to share what has laid on my heart this week and some thoughts, quotes and scriptures..
INSPIRATION
Start doing what’s necessary
Then do what’s possible
And suddenly you are doing the impossible
INSIGHTS
A moment of insight is sometimes worth life of experience
Oliver Wendell Homes
FAITH
Doubt sees the obstacles. Faith sees the way
Doubt sees the darkest night, Faith sees the day
Doubt fears to take a step, Faith sours on high
Doubt says, “Who dares? Faith says I

COMFORT
When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, you have brought me to say
“It is well, with my soul”
Horatio Spafford
HOPE
We can accept finite disappointments
but we must never lose infinite hope
Martin Luther King
WISDOM
The ear that hears the rebukes life
Will abide amongst the wise.
Proverbs 15:31.
Don’t let the fire go out in us.
“Lord we pray and worship, come amongst us now, set our hearts on FIRE!”We were blessed by the time of worship and blessed to hear about the arrival of Emma’s baby, Gary’s 17th grandchild.
Jem Trehern shared about his early life. He became an atheist, and did not believe in good or evil. Then he saw evil, then he saw love, then he repented and met Jesus. He shared a little about his pastorates, where homeless people were invited to live in the church. There were mistakes, people saved and lots of crazy stuff. Jem now travels to Turkey, working with Iranian refugees, and to India. He teaches ‘Relational Theology’. This is about connecting with God through the Holy Spirit, rather than growing in head knowledge. Jem encouraged us to submit to God, in order to receive more from Him. He encouraged us to believe that God’s heart is to meet our spiritual, emotional and physical needs – like a good father. There was a time of prayer ministry at the end of the meeting when many received God’s peace (not the absence of trouble, but the presence of Jesus).
