Engaging Night
with Simon Pinchbeck
Our night began with a welcome a short Word and prayer that lead into praise and worship. It stopped when there was an invitation to share what God was putting on peoples heart. We heard several people sharing Words of scripture and what God put on their hearts to say.
It led for our visiting speaker Simon Pinchbeck to share his testimony. It was an engaging testimony with a lot of interaction with everyone who had come to hear his story of “Cop to Criminal to Christ” Simon asked three questions have you ever … lied, stolen or hated anyone … because that was sin, asking people raise their hands as he shared his testimony with a lot of humour people engaged with his testimony of man who had spent 23 years in the police. Simon turned to a life of organised crime, chasing money with no limit. For a time he enjoyed the life that the money brought him but failed to truly sastisfy him and peace that he desired.
He shared as he was known as the WARUS when he was policeman when he stood amongst those who get involved in football holiganism. He met one of them who changed so much and found the peace he was looking for, the friend told him he was going to church and invited him to come with him. This was the turning point for Simon it radically transformed his life and now a passionate evangelist actively sharing Jesus Christ.
The evening ending seeing people being prayed for and having encounters with the Holy Spirt during a time of ministry,
Comment – Morning Peter…just thinking back to yesterday… the Holy Spirit was there powerfully ..be encouraged mate..keep the fire burning .. its time to turn up the heat – Simon.
